TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR EVENT ORGANISERS

The UK events sector doesn’t have much of a culture of training and qualifications, although signs are this has been slowly changing. So what are the special skills those in the events sector need, and can they anyway acquire these from training? Are qualifications worth the paper they’re printed on?

TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR EVENT ORGANISERS is a timely and interactive one day conference that looks at the current market, airs arguments for and against training, examines the costs and time commitment and looks to the future, to see how things could improve. It is being staged by the Society of Event Organisers and will be of interest to all organisers working, or planning to work for a company, association, event management agency or charity, and training managers in organisations holding events.

Attendance at TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR EVENT ORGANISERS costs £120 plus VAT per delegate with a special price of £96 plus VAT per delegate for two or more delegates from the same organisation, or if delegate is an SEO member (Free sign up at www.seoevent.co.uk). It is being hosted and generously supported by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) at 66 Portland Place, London W1 on Monday 8 June 2009.

Study the programme, and to guarantee places complete the booking form, copy and fax or post to the SEO.
